What’s the difference between X Team and X Team Pro

X Team is perfect for early-stage startups who need consistent design help each week but aren’t ready for full-time hires. You get one dedicated product designer working on tasks you prioritize—think UI mockups, usability improvements, prototypes.

X Team Pro is for teams moving fast or juggling multiple design needs. It includes a designer plus a part-time product manager and researcher, ensuring better prioritization, planning, and user-centered decisions—ideal if you need extra firepower and strategy support.

How long do we have to commit for?

We offer 12 month contracts with a 6 month break clause.

We already have devs. Will your designs fit into our process?

Yes! We’re used to working with in-house and external dev teams. We:

  • Deliver in Figma using agreed component libraries
  • Annotate designs with specs for easy dev handoff
  • Join weekly stand-ups or planning calls (Pro plan)
  • Adapt to your tools: Slack, Notion, Jira, Linear—you name it

Can we customize the package

Absolutely. If you want to swap in a brand designer, more research, or a sprint-based model—just let us know. We’ve worked with pre-seed solo founders and Series A product teams, so we tailor things to fit.

Can you show us past work?

Yes! We’ve helped launch 160+ MVPs across fintech, healthtech, marketplaces, and more. Ask us on a call and we’ll send relevant case studies or a private portfolio. (We don’t publicize most work due to NDAs.)

What’s the UX experience level of your designers

All designers are senior-level and UX-Certified by the Nielsen Norman Group. We emphasize usability, clarity, and conversion—not just pretty pixels.

Can we start small?

Yes. Many founders begin with a 1-week design sprint or a strategy workshop before committing to ongoing design support. It’s a great way to test the waters and get immediate value.

How do we collaborate week to week?

We use a rhythm that balances async and live work:

  • Monday planning call (or async brief via Loom/Notion)
  • Slack for async updates & quick feedback
  • Weekly demo/check-in
  • Optional user testing (if needed)
